Diane Coker Scholarship - Kitchen & Bath

Purpose:
Would help with college expenses fast track your ability to deliver cutting-edge design skills?
In 2009, this Scholarship was established to honor former Gwinnett Tech graduate Diane Coker for her long-time mentoring role to GTC Interiors Program students.
Scholarship funds help with college expenses for GTC students wishing to pursue a career in kitchen and bath design.

Eligibility Requirements:
In order to be eligible for the Diane Coker Scholarship, a student must:

  • Are a U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • Have been accepted into the Kitchen & Bath program of study and have earned 8 credit hours in this program prior to applying
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Prepare a 300-word essay expressing how the scholarship will benefit you in your educational pursuits. The essay must be submitted on the applicants General Application

Applications cannot be processed unless all required documentation is attached to the application at the time of submittal.

Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition, books, and program supplies used solely for the benefit of the individual receiving the scholarship. Before funds will be disbursed, the Foundation office must receive a note of thanks from the recipient to the donor(s).

Selection:
The Gwinnett Tech Foundation committee will select and notify the scholarship recipients.

Termination:
If the recipient fails to enroll, withdraws from college, or does not maintain eligibility requirements, the Gwinnett Tech Foundation will select another student if time permits; otherwise, funds will be held in the donor’s account to be carried over to the next semester.
