Diane Coker

In 2004, Diane Coker of the Westye Group Southeast extended her hand to mentor the students of the Interiors Program of Gwinnett Technical College. In appreciation and to honor her commitment to the College, GTC has established a scholarship for students in the Certificate Kitchen and Bath Program.

Coker understands from personal experience what it means financially, physically and emotionally to return to college as an adult. In fact, she returned to school as an adult learner at Gwinnett Technical College.

Recognizing the value of the mentoring she received as a student, Coker’s mantra has been to “pass it forward” in many areas of her life. She has done that at Gwinnett Tech by establishing the GTC Kitchen and Bath Program and as a mentor, has encouraged, guided and helped grow the program. Above all she has shared with the students her love for the industry and the great people who are a part of it.
