Roentgen Scholarship
Purpose:
Are you developing a career in Radiologic Technology but need some help to bring it into focus? If you are currently enrolled in Gwinnett Tech’s Radiologic Technology Program, you may be eligible to apply for scholarship funds to help with college expenses, including tuition, books or program supplies. The Roentgen Scholarship was established in 2013 to support students in the Radiologic Technology program.
Eligibility Requirements:
In order to be eligible for the Roentgen Scholarship, a student must:
- Be a United States citizen
- Have completed at least one semester in the Radiologic Technology Program
- Have maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Have submitted an essay of approximately 300 words, specifying how this scholarship will assist the recipient in meeting his/her financial obligations. Essay must be submitted on applicant’s general application.
Applications cannot be processed unless all required documentation is attached to the application at time of submittal.
Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition, books, and program supplies used solely for the benefit of the individual receiving the scholarship. Before funds will be disbursed, the Foundation office must receive a note of thanks from the recipient to the donor(s).
Selection:
The Gwinnett Tech Foundation committee will select and notify the scholarship recipients.
Termination:
If the recipient fails to enroll, withdraws from college, or does not maintain eligibility requirements, the Gwinnett Tech Foundation will select another student if time permits; otherwise, funds will be held in the donor’s account to be carried over to the next semester.
