AES Clean Technology Welding Scholarship - Welding

Purpose:
To support students pursuing a career in welding

Eligibility Requirements:
In order to be eligible for the AES Clean Technology Welding Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Welding and Joining Technology Degree, Diploma, or Certification Program at Gwinnett Technical College
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Applicants must submit a 300-word essay outlining how the scholarship will enable them to complete their program and any other financial or personal circumstances they feel are important for the Review Committee to consider in its evaluation

Applications cannot be processed unless all required documentation is attached to the application at the time of submittal.

Selection:
The Gwinnett Tech Foundation Review Committee will select and notify the scholarship recipients.

  1. Termination:
    If the recipient fails to enroll, withdraws from college, or does not maintain eligibility requirements, the Gwinnett Tech Foundation will select another student if time permits; otherwise, funds will be held in the Donor’s account and carried over to the next semester.
